Here's how you can help The Little Theater On The Farm...

Our message is simple. We need you to help us continue our work in the community by making a donation to Little Theater on the Farm, a 501 c 3 non-profit organization.

Here’s why. We’re your neighbors and like any good neighbor, we want to work with you to enhance life for families in our area with live theater, concerts, holiday events and other meaningful and affordable programming. Also, because you are a prominent benefactor in our community, we are seeking your tax deductible gift. Without people like you contributing financially, the people of this region would be far less fortunate!

And so, we appeal to you during these difficult economic times, when families can no longer afford movies, Broadway shows, or even a modest dinner out, to assist us in hosting a large variety of activities that are affordable for families today.

If you’re like us, you probably don’t know every one of your neighbors. So, in case you don’t know us, let me tell you a few things about us. We’ve been your neighbor for 7 years. Linda Hermans and Tom DuFore our founders, are amazing, creative and resourceful pioneers, who transformed an old dilapidated 1840’s post and beam barn, and through ingenuity, perseverance, and just plain moxey, transformed it into a fully functional 70 seat theater with outside seating as well. Through the generosity of friends, neighbors, garage sales and local businesses, seats were donated and sound and lighting equipment acquired.

Little Theater on the Farm opened in 2005 with a production of the Hudson River Shakespeare Company’s Greater Tuna and our theater continues to be their summer home. In the last 4 seasons, we have hosted plays, auctions, talent shows, craft fairs, contests and even rock concerts. We are even planning a Bluegrass Jamboree this coming year. Operating on a shoe string budget, Little Theater on the Farm depends on grants, donations and fund raising events. Without your generous donation, we will fall far short of our plans.

It goes without saying, that all of us share a love and concern for our community. As we begin our 5th season we hope to expand our role with the public schools in helping to enhance their experiences in theater. We would also love to upgrade our sound and lighting systems as well a be able to sponsor concerts and our talent shows.

But, we are only as great as our supporters: generous individuals in our community who help us to continue to be a venue for affordable cultural activities; and a support to artists, musicians, and other performers or community talent who are helped to develop their skills by participating in these concerts and events.

We hope you will support us with a tax deductible contribution and become a Friend of Little Theater on the Farm. When you do, we will list your name in our programs and lobby board as a Friend and supporter. The greatest benefit you’ll receive, though, is knowing you’re helping to ensure the continuation of our programming for the community’s benefit.

So please, take a minute to write your tax-deductible check made out to "Little Theater on the Farm. Inc" and mail it to: Little Theater on the Farm, Inc., 27 Plum Road, Fort Edward, NY 12828-3504.

With many thanks,
Sincerely,
Board of Directors, Little Theater on the Farm, Inc.

P.S. The way we look at it, it’s all part of being a good neighbor!
